A Call To Meet Yourself In It ALL...

Dec 11, 2024

Fuck.

I begin with that word, because it seems to encapsulate the energy these past months.  It's been intense; as it's been unraveling & dismantling everything that has been building up over years, over generations & lifetimes.  This culmination of endings has been striking at the very cores of our being, reverberating and echoing through every facet of life in ways that are personal to us.

At the heart of this upheaval is where our inner being has been stirring, summoning...

 a meeting of self.

It’s a call to a profound and often challenging encounter with who we are at our core because it requires us to face the deep-seated beliefs and fears that whisper to us, suggesting that we are unworthy or unlovable.  The burden of feeling like we must constantly justify our existence, weighs heavily on our hearts, making the journey feel incredibly challenging.

Navigating this can be extremely confusing, because the truth is- the distorted perspectives we hold about ourselves are often rooted in the foundations instilled in us from a young age.  These narratives shape how we relate to ourselves and the world.  Each compliment, criticism, and societal benchmark adds layers to our self-image, distorting our sense of authenticity.

Interesting isn’t it?

To consider that our 'core' has been conditioned to feel disconnected from who we truly are.  We’ve been taught to deny our own inner rhythms, inner knowing and essences of our being; where the beautiful complexities & nuances that make each of us unique are intricately woven into the blueprint of our life- simply by existing.

Instead of embracing these innate truths, we've been conditioned to suppress them, to push away the pains and wounds caused by this inner separation, often simply because they are categorized as “not good."   Moreover, we've been led to seek validation and "goodness" from external sources, perpetuating the tendency that keeps us trapped in cycles of dependency and disconnection from our genuine selves.  Then, add all the experiences that reinforce these belief systems and understanding of the self.  We find ourselves navigating life with masks that we’ve crafted in response to external demands, rather than expressing our true selves.

These experiences create a feedback loop; as the more we seek external validation, the more disconnected we become from our inner truths.   Safety, survival,  the pressures of conformity, and the fear of judgment compel us to silence our voices, leading to a profound sense of isolation.  As these layers of conditioning accumulate, peeling them back to reconnect with our true core essence becomes increasingly challenging.

We may avoid confronting our hurt, whether consciously or subconsciously. Yet, in doing so, we deny ourselves the opportunity to fully understand the narratives of our lives.  This disconnection prevents us from fully processing our emotions and learning from our past.

By avoiding these dialogues, we miss crucial insights that foster growth, understanding & an integration of information.  The act of cutting ourselves off from these emotions & experiences creates what can be described as incomplete conversations.  It’s like breaking synapses in the brain, interrupting the natural completion of circuitry.  These unfinished dialogues within us can lead to confusion, self-doubt, and a fragmented sense of identity.  We are left grappling with questions that remain unanswered, preventing us from moving forward with clarity and purpose in the process meant to naturally unfold through the wisdom & entirety of our own inner rhythms.

The key is recognizing that these fragmented parts are not separate from who we are; they contribute to our whole being.

The Flow of Frequencies: Revealing a More Wholistic Narrative

At their core, both judgment and discernment involve the act of assessing, evaluating, and making distinctions. However, the key difference lies in the frequency or vibration at which they operate.

Judgment, in its lower frequency form, often arises from a place of fear, bias, and a limited perspective.  It involves quick, reactive assessments that are rooted in our own woundings, insecurities, and conditioning.  This type of judgment can lead to rigid categorization, criticism, and a sense of separation from others.

In contrast, discernment operates at a higher frequency. It is a more nuanced, expansive, and compassionate form of assessment.  Discernment involves the ability to carefully observe, consider multiple perspectives, and make distinctions that are grounded in wisdom, understanding, and make a judgement based on a deeper connection to the inherent wholeness of life.

The woundings we carry from our experiences are often the very things that fuel our lower frequency judgments.  When we are triggered by something or someone, it is often because a past hurt or trauma has been activated. Our instinct may be to react with judgment, criticism, or a desire to distance ourselves.   Meeting self is the invitation to transcend these woundings by transmuting the energy through the gift of emotional mastery.  As we learn to embrace, process, and integrate our emotional experiences, we cultivate a greater capacity for self-awareness, empathy, and the ability to discern with clarity and compassion.

This process of transcendence is not about denying or suppressing our emotions, but rather about allowing them to flow through us.  (Emotions= energy in motion) It's about feeling it ALL and cultivating & practicing healthy ways of expression- transforming them into a wellspring of wisdom, freedom, and deeper heart-coherence (body, mind, emotions & spirit in communion.)

It is about integrating the fullness of our experiences, even the most challenging ones, and using them as catalysts for growth and deeper connection through the inherent wisdom that is within.  Here, we move from a place of separation to one of profound interconnectedness, where we can cultivate the beauty and the learning in every experience, and respond with wisdom, grace, and alignment with our innermost truths.

Innate Wisdom: Embracing the Wholeness of Our Being

This is where the wisdom of our inner being has been calling, communicating to us - to deconstruct the paradigms of separation and opposition, and to meet ourselves entirely.

The perspective of separation has taught us to view ourselves as distinct from our emotions, our past experiences, and even the universe around us. This can lead to feelings of isolation and disconnection, making it difficult to embrace who we are in our entirety. Instead of recognizing ourselves as whole and part of the tapestry of life, we often focus on the parts we deem acceptable or worthy, pushing aside the aspects we consider flawed or unlovable.

Opposition, on the other hand, represents the internal battles we face - conflicting thoughts, feelings, and desires that create a sense of discord within us. This conflict can manifest as self-doubt, criticism, or the relentless pursuit of approval from others. We may find ourselves caught in a cycle of striving for an ideal self that often feels out of reach, leading to frustration and a sense of inadequacy.  These systems have been running through for a long time, in the background and forefront as the "norm." The perpetuation of life from this perspective is not sustainable.

On both an individual and collective level, complacency and stagnation are not options. The world around us is constantly shifting, presenting us with a choice: resist these changes or allow them to transform us.

With that, change is an inevitable and essential part of life, and embracing it involves an innate act of trust -trusting the journey itself and trusting ourselves to navigate the unknown.

Where we've been conditioned to operate opposite from this inner trust- the flow of life connects what has been with what will be, following a natural rhythm where endings morph into beginnings, bridging the known with the unknown. Rather than fearing the uncharted territories of our lives, imagine them as blank canvases ripe for our creative exploration. Here it encourages us to redefine our narratives, explore new horizons, and embrace the full spectrum of our existence.

The pathways of self-discovery and transformation begin within, at the very heart of our being, where our fractured relationship with ourselves lies hidden. These are the aspects of ourselves we've been taught to suppress, ignore, control, or deny—yet, despite our efforts to disconnect from them, they persist as integral parts of our identity.

On the other side of the unknown, is always more self.

In the journey of personal growth, it is within the fractured places that we find more than just the wounds that have shaped our lives; we can uncover profound wisdom that often goes unrecognized. The process of uncovering this wisdom requires us to confront the beliefs and narratives that have led us to view ourselves as incomplete or at odds with our true nature.  It's a journey that demands courage, as it involves peeling back the layers of our identity that have been constructed over a lifetime of experiences.

To meet ourselves entirely also means the acknowledgment and integration of every facet of our being, including the shadows we tend to hide.  It requires courage to face the uncomfortable truths about ourselves, to acknowledge the core energy behind our patterns, habits, addictions, actions, and deep-rooted beliefs playing out, rather than shying away from them. Our "shit" will show up, no matter how much we might want to ignore or escape it.

Embarking on this journey of deep engagement with our lives begins with a crucial step: dismantling the old patterns that hold us back. This process is essential for making space for new growth and fostering a deeper connection with our true essence.

Vulnerability plays a crucial role in this transformative process. It is through opening ourselves up to our own fragility that we can truly connect with the depth of our experiences.  This connection does not just illuminate the nature of our wounds but also reveals the strength and resilience that lie within them.  By embracing our vulnerability, we allow ourselves to explore the full spectrum of our emotions, from pain to joy, and everything in between.  By fully engaging with our experiences, we are invited to consciously embrace the intricacies of our emotional journeys and acknowledge the wisdom that comes from integrating our struggles.

It's about surrendering the need for control and allowing life to unfold naturally.  This is the natural process that resides within our BEING. This exploration is a testament to the complexity and richness of our human experience.  As we cultivate a relationship & presence for the inner landscapes of our being, the essence and pulse of life begins breaking through not by force, but in an inherent unfolding of innate wisdom.  It demonstrates profound strength in acknowledging life's unpredictability while recognizing our inherent wisdom that is intricately woven with our free will.

Creating Space: The Alchemy of Integrating Our Fragmented Selves

At the heart of this journey is the recognition that we are not merely the sum of our experiences, but rather multifaceted, ever-evolving beings.  When we encounter trauma, hurt, or other challenging life events, certain aspects of our psyche and soul can become fragmented or dissociated as a means of self-protection.  These disowned parts don't simply disappear, however.  They continue to exist in the shadows of our consciousness, influencing our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in often unconscious ways.  They may manifest as limiting beliefs, self-sabotaging patterns, or a general sense of disconnection from our fullest expression.

By creating space to acknowledge and honor these wounded or exiled parts of ourselves, we open the doors to profound soul retrievals.  This is an alchemical process of reclaiming and reintegrating those lost or forgotten aspects of our being. By embracing and reconciling with these overlooked aspects of our being, we catalyze profound change. As we hold these parts with loving-kindness and a willingness to integrate them, something remarkable begins to happen.

Through practices like self-reflection, shadow work, compassionate inquiry, & aligned support, we can begin to shine the light of awareness on these fragmented pieces.  We invite them to come forth, to be seen and heard, to share the wisdom and lessons they've acquired through their exile. Through this process, experiential wisdom elevates intellectual knowledge by adding layers of depth, enhancing our emotional intelligence, and teaching us the practicality of resilience in a heart-coherent way.  Here, the wisdom and resilience that have been forged through our challenges become a wellspring of strength, authenticity, and deeper self-acceptance.

Integration is an alchemical path to wholeness, where every aspect, facet, and nuance of our being is acknowledged and valued.  It's about recognizing that our inner world is a complex, interconnected ecosystem where each part has its unique role and wisdom.  This process is not about forcing unity but allowing the natural communication between the diverse parts of ourselves, letting certain aspects take the lead or step back, guided by the innate wisdom of our systems.

In doing so, we cultivate a deep empathy and understanding for the parts of ourselves that have been carrying the burden of our past wounds.  We can begin to dismantle our conditioned belief systems that these disowned aspects are not inherently "bad" or "wrong," but rather represent the fullness of our human experience – the light and the dark, the joy and the sorrow.

Accepting and engaging with our lives in this manner propels our growth and transformation.  The walls of separation start to crumble, and we experience a profound sense of wholeness and integration, allowing its lessons to be woven into the tapestry of our being.  This act of integration is not merely about acknowledgment; it's a powerful process of metamorphosis, a sacred death that paves the way for new creations of endless possibilities. It's fucking challenging & raw, yet it's about reclaiming our power, our agency, and our ability to navigate life's complexities with greater clarity, compassion, and inner freedom.

A way of stepping into the fullness of our humanity and the boundless potential that resides within us. The future human is a return to the natural state & the flow of life within and through being entirely ourselves= limitless creations and expressions.

A reawakening through deconstruction.  It's ALL a part of it. In this meeting of separation, lies wholeness.

Enabling us to tap into a deeper, more holistic well of self-understanding, inspiring us to choose and forge paths and craft realities that resonate more truly with who we are.  By acknowledging our wounds and the lessons they carry, we open the doors to healing and the meeting of self in it ALL.

Endings are inevitable, transformation through integration is optional.
